NO MORE ICE!

What is happening to the North Pole?

Since the beginning of time nature has always had to change due to changing climates. It is one of the most important forces behind the process of evolution. The climate has controlled the life on Earth. Although in today’s society it is apparent that everyone knows that the climate may start to change to rapidly. While it be too difficult for certain species to survive? The habitats that these animals live in are being destroyed by global warming. If there is no where for the polar bears to live they will not be able to survive. Polar Bears is one species that is being really affected by global warming. The North Pole is getting smaller and smaller and there is no where for the polar bears to go. Polar bears are the perfectly adapted ice animal and now they will have to find a way to survive or they will go extinct.

"In Alaska, people are more aware of the warming problem because it's staring you in the face," says Gunter Weller, director of the Center for Global Change and Arctic System Research at the University of Alaska, Fairbanks. "You can't deny the evidence, because it's all around you."

Vodka that is going Green.- SVEDKA

SVEDKA is an imported vodka and it is fastest growing in the United States. There main goal is to use the future in their advertising campaigns to make Svedka the "#1 vodka in the universe". (www.svedka.com)

When you go to Svedka.com you go to the section of advertising and there will be a global warming section. Then you have to download the campaign. In the print ad it states "Voted #1 vodka of 2033. Svedka reminds you to do your part to end global warming. Add more ice". (www.svedka.com) The add has a women of the future.

Will these advertisements really help the efforts of global warming? I think that any attempt to make a change or get the phrase global warming is worth the effort. People will not be able to not think about global warming because they will see it in advertisements right in front of there face. If Svedka is the vodka of 2033 then they had to make sure they helped the global warming efforts because by 2033 the world can be a very different place for their product.

Look out for Svedka advertisements they definitely stand out because of the creative design of the campaign! Also take the advise from Svedka and start taking a part in the efforts against global warming.

1. Use compact fluorescent bulbs. If you replace 3 frequently used light bulbs with compact fluorescent bulbs it saves 300 lbs. of carbon dioxide and $60 per year.

2. Inflate Your Tires. Keep the tires on your car adequately inflated. Check them monthly because this saves 250 lbs. of carbon dioxide and $840 per year.

3. Check your air filters because you can save 800 lbs. of carbon dioxide and $130 per year.

4. Buy a Hybrid Car!

5. Buy a fuel efficient car. It can get you a few extra miles per gallon makes a difference. Saves lots of money and thousands of lbs. of CO2 per year.

6. Buy minimally packaged goods because less packaging could reduce your garbage by about 10%.

7. Carpool when you can or walk.

8. Reduce your amount of garbage.

9. Plant a Tree! Trees suck up carbon dioxide and make the clean air for us to breathe.

10. Use push mowers. This also saves carbon dioxide.

11. Instead of turning up the heat in your home wear a sweater.

12. Air dry your clothing instead of using a dryer.

13. Buy Organic food.

14. Bring cloth bags to the market so you don’t have to use plastic or paper bags. Less garbage!

15. Unplug un-used electronics. When electronics are turned off they are still using energy in your home.

Almost all of these tips saves carbon dioxide as well as saves you money. I believe if we all put a little effort into saving the earth’s atmosphere would we have a clearer and safer environment to live in. This are tips that everyone can do in there ever day life.

During one day think about everything you do to pollute the earth’s atmosphere. You would be shocked how much we are doing to the earth. You will want to take the effort to change!

Diesel Campaign

Diesel advertising campaign is taking a step to help people become more aware of the global warming problem on our earth. I think the ads are extremely artistic. They definitely make the problem of global warming look more dramatic. For instance, one image is of a man and women in bathing suits with Penguins behind them in the water and out of the water. We all know that Penguins are in cold weather and people could not be in bathing suits. Also there is an ad with a man and women looking really hot and behind them is New York City under water. There are three more ads that are just as creative. They really us fashion and the awareness of the label to make people see the effects of global warming. Please everyone go look they are great!

I really think that every industry has to take a step at making people aware of global warming. Most people today know about global warming but don't do anything about it. Maybe companies can make people do things to change and help global warming. For instance, when Gap had the red label to raise money for Africa. This is an idea for companies to start raising money for the stop of global warming. This is something to think about. What can companies do to change people ways and thoughts about our earth and enviroment?
